Safety / Environmental Coordinator
 
The preferred candidate will have:
  • Demonstrated commitment to promoting a safe work environment,
  • A post- secondary education In health and safety, environmental or human resources,
  • Certification as a CRSP, CHRP, CHRL or similar related designation is an asset,
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferably in heavy equipment,
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and related standards and legislation,
  • Previous experience in environmental compliance and programs,
  • Strong computer skills using Microsoft office software,
  • Familiarity with general HR related functions as the position supports HR activities,
  • Knowledge of ISO 18001 and 14001 requirements is an asset.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • The ability to travel outside of Canada,
  • A demonstrated ability to collaborate and communicate effectively within a team environment.
 
The position responsibilities include:
 
  • Promote Health and Safety initiatives which includes setting standards, communication, training, evaluation and continuous improvement
  • Conduct new hire / contractor orientation,
  • Co-chair the Joint Health and Safety Committee in promoting a safe work environment,
  • Identify and assess potential hazards, make recommendations to correct the hazard(s) and follow up on implemented recommendations,
  • Monitor training records and refresh training dates,
  • Maintain stock of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Ensure that the company is exceeding corporate related safety targets and initiatives,
  • Maintain valid MSDS/SDS for hazardous materials,
  • Assist with managing workers compensation claims, and return to work activities,
  • Ensure the company is meeting ISO 18001 and 14001 requirements,
  • Attend safety group meetings locally and Corporate sponsored safety meetings held outside of Canada,
  • Assist with HR related activities including recruiting, return to work activities, training and development, and policy / procedure administration.

CNC Burn Table Operator

CNC Burn Table Operator
 
The position responsibilities include:
  • Assess the workspace and work required to ensure the work is performed in the safest manner possible,
  • Identify and retrieve steel plate as required relative to type, thickness, and size based on engineering specifications.
  • Retrieve engineering drawings off of the computer system to determine appropriate burn method (plasma / gas).
  • Set machine using CNC controller to burn the profile of parts as identified on engineering drawings.
  • Clean rust and dirt off parts using grinder and or slag remover.
  • Layout and drill holes in parts based on engineering drawing specifications from time to time..
  • Saw parts on CNC saw to engineering drawing specifications from time to time.
  • Communicate with supervisors, manufacturing technicians, and team leaders from various departments to ensure jobs move into the queue when required.
  • Complete all required documentation such as time sheets and job paperwork.
  • Participate in workplace improvement initiatives.

  • Must successfully complete lift truck training and requalify every 18 months.
  • Must successfully complete crane training course.
  • An ability to perform some heavy lifting to move parts
  • Previous experience using a burn table or similar equipment is required.
 
Qualified candidates will earn an hourly rate ranging from $26.16 /hr. to 26.53/hr. ($27.21 / hr. in 2018) depending on experience. A $.35/hr. premium is paid to operators who are CWB  certified. Afternoon shift premiums are $1.35 / hr.

The position responsibilities include:
  • Assessing the workspace and work required to ensure the work is performed in the safest manner possible,
  • Read and understand engineering drawings and component specifications in order to recognize parts and part specifications for assembly,
  • Assemble and install mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components per work instructions,
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic systems with assistance from engineering/service personnel,
  • Perform basic tests on installed components to ensure they meet the appropriate standards.
  • Operate material handling devices such as cranes and lift trucks in a safe manner,
  • Participate in workplace improvement initiatives.

Branch Administrator / Parts Sales

Reporting to the Customer Service Manager, the Branch Administrator / Parts Sales person is responsible for coordinating branch personnel, maintaining appropriate inventory levels, providing quotations for parts orders, processing customer orders, responding to customer inquiries, analyzing parts usage and making parts recommendations to customers. There is also a requirement to travel regularly to dealer locations throughout the eastern US in order to establish and maintain a collaborative working relationship with our dealer network and promote parts sales.\

The successful candidate will have a post secondary technical or business education with 5 plus years of experience in warehouse management and / or parts sales in a heavy equipment environment. The preferred candidate will also be proficient with computerized inventory maintenance systems, Microsoft office, and email. Excellent oral and written communication skills are a must. A valid driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract are also required.
