EXC Mechanical Concrete Pulverizer
Breaker Technology understands that choosing the right demolition equipment for your project is key to putting power into your productivity.
Breaker Technology’s EXC Series Mechanical Concrete Pulverizer attachments are designed for quiet, controlled secondary demolition and recycling of concrete structures. BTI’s EXC Mechanical Concrete Pulverizer for excavators features bolt-on replaceable teeth that allow field change-out in minutes. The concrete pulverizer uses existing excavator hydraulics, so no additional circuits are required. A movable front jaw, actuated by the excavator’s bucket cylinder, closes into the stationary back jaw. The back jaw is pinned in place with a position arm that is pinned to a mounting pad welded on the lower surface of the excavator’s stick boom.

RESOURCES
Your concrete pulverizer must be sized properly for the carrier it will be mounted to.
BASED ON CARRIER STICK WIDTH
The carrier that is selected must have a stick width that fits the pulverizer model. See following table.
Carrier Stick Width Limit | ||||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Model |
Max. Stick Width |
|||||
mm | inches | |||||
EXC60CP | 381 | 15 | ||||
EXC80CP | 425 | 16.75 | ||||
EXC100CP | 476 | 18.75 |
BASED ON CARRIER SIZE
Your carrier will need to have the necessary oil flow and lift capacity to handle the attachment plus any material in the jaw safely.
BTI has assigned a recommended Carrier Weight range for each pulverizer (see Carrier Sizing Chart on this page). If the operating weight of the carrier falls within this range, the carrier will safely handle this model. If the desired pulverizer falls outside of the recommended carrier weight range, then the carrier’s lifting capacity will need to be verified to ensure a proper fit.
LIFTING CAPACITY
The maximum lifting capacity of the carrier at any position must be equal to or greater than 1.3 times the weight of the pulverizer. Consult the lifting specification of the excavator. The maximum lifting capacity is usually at the lowest when the boom is at full reach. This is the value that must be compared to the operating weight of the pulverizer.
Cycle times are dependent on your carrier.
