MCP-IT Hydraulic Pulverizer
The MCP-IT fixed head hydraulic pulverizer is the ideal attachment for secondary demolition. Quick cycle times and strategically-placed teeth make this pulverizer your go-to tool for fast fragmentation and separation of rebar from the concrete.
APPLICATIONS
Secondary Demolition // Reduction of Reinforced Concrete
RESOURCES
The pulverizer has a tough and compact structure made of high-quality wear-resistant materials at a hardness of HB400. The mouth’s profile is reinforced and designed for high resistance to wear and maximum material production.
The MCP-IT Pulverizer’s speed valve guarantees high performance. The valve alternates between power and speed, depending on the load. It offers faster cycle times and greater productivity.
The openings of the fixed body make the unloading of demolished material easier while maintaining the performance and productivity of the attachment.
On each model there are blades for rebar cutting. Blades can be turned for greater usage.
The MCP-IT pulverizer’s jaw design increases the productivity of the attachment. Simple replacement of a tooth brings the tool back to original specification.
This plate can be supplied with two top teeth to ensure greater production in the operation of secondary demolition.
The Pulverizer must be sized properly for the work it will need to do and the carrier on which it will be mounted.
HOW TO USE THIS CHART
Find your carrier weight along the top of this chart. Draw a line straight down from that weight. Any shaded bars intersected will give you a pulverizer suitable for your carrier.
BASED ON TYPE OF WORK
The most important item to consider when sizing a pulverizer, is what it will need to do. Refer to the ‘Production’ information provided on the specification sheets to assist in deciding what pulverizer will be required for the application.
BASED ON CARRIER SIZE
BTI has assigned a recommended ‘Carrier Weight’ range for each pulverizer. If the operating weight of the carrier falls within this range, the carrier will safely handle this model. If the desired pulverizer falls outside of this recommended carrier weight range, the carrier's lifting capacity and oil flow will need to be verified to ensure a proper fit.
LIFTING CAPACITY
The maximum lifting capacity of the carrier at any position must be equal to or greater than 1.3 times the weight of the pulverizer. Consult the lifting specification of the excavator. The maximum lifting capacity is usually at the lowest when the boom is at full reach. This is the value that must be compared to the operating weight of the pulverizer, multiplied by 1.3.
OIL FLOW AND OPERATING PRESSURE
A required oil flow range is specified for each pulverizer. Oil flow within this range is adequate for operation. However, for maximum cycle time the carrier should be capable of providing the maximum required flow. Compare the maximum oil flow requirement of the pulverizer with the oil flow capacity of the carrier, and check to ensure the carrier can provide the working pressure as stated in the specifications, otherwise it may be necessary to combine the flow from two pumps in order to provide the required amount.
